Message Mirror Optimizes & Bundles Message Communication

Have you ever gotten the feeling that the “future” is getting ever closer? What I mean is that our science fiction dreams are no longer as ‘out there’ as they were 50 years ago. The gap between reality and the future seems to shrink more and more with each day that passes. Technology has a way of inventing itself when something comes along that is groundbreaking. That seems to be the case with the message mirror. It’s a project that could reinvent the way we communicate.

As you may know, I write a lot about innovative technologies and groundbreaking inventions. The fact is, there are more and more of those presented to us. The ingenuity people seem to have is just mind boggling at times. The message mirror comes across as a relatively simple idea, but when it comes to execution, it’s nothing less than amazing. We have written about interactive mirrors here on Bit Rebels before, but this one is slightly different. Why? Because it has features that you usually would not expect from a mirror.

The message mirror is in theory a huge mirrored glass message phone all bundle into one. Through it, you will be able to compose and draw messages that you want to send to your family or friends. The user interface is one of the simplest so far, and very straightforward. All you do is use the stylus to write your message, and once you are done, you wait for a few seconds and it will be bundled into a message ready to be sent. Now all you have to do is drag it to the person on the message mirror that you want to send it to, and drop it. That’s it!

The message mirror even has its own cell phone number, which makes it possible to receive text messages and emails on it. Imagine being able to send a message home which everyone can take part in and organize. Suddenly that grocery list is quite easy to compile, especially if everyone contributes their own items. The message mirror was developed by Philips in Holland and is displayed on their Innovation campus.
