R2-D2 & C-3PO Shed A Leg & A Head For A Star Wars Lamp

Star Wars fans have always been very keen on trying to improve their fandom with various creations. Some are of course more successful than others. Some are even other worldly in comparison to what is available in the stores. There has no doubt been some insane creations that would have anyone’s head spin out of pure amazement. It’s what has made the Star Wars community grow so strong and vibrant over the years. George Lucas has a lot to be thankful for when it comes to how much stronger the Star Wars franchise has become through the creativity of all the Star Wars fans. However, when it comes to ingenuity, I must say there has never been a Star Wars lamp quite like the one you are about to lay your eyes on.

This particular Star Wars lamp creation comes from the mind of Gordon Tarpley. He’s a rather creative individual, and I’m sure we’ll see a lot more crazy creations from him. By taking the top cap of R2-D2 and putting it on one of the legs of C-3PO, Gordon managed to create what can only be explained as a carnage light bringer in the oddest of styles. To think that two of our most celebrated droids had to give up a head and a leg in order for this Star Wars lamp to come true is almost morbidly frightening, in a mesmerizing way.

The lights from the head dome of R2-D2 make for a great addition to all the Christmas lights of the season (as this is written at the time of Christmas), but this should totally work 365 days a year in a Star Wars fan’s exclusive living quarters. As I said, there have been a lot of Star Wars lamps throughout the years, but none that will rival the terrorizing look and shimmering lights of this highly brutal assembly. Do I even dare imagine what Gordon might come up with next? I think I’d rather not. The mental image of this Star Wars lamp is enough to last me the remainder of the year. After all, there’s just a week of it left.
