Anyone who thinks there is still privacy (online and offline) is unfortunately wrong. There are literally hundreds of ways that anyone can track your movements through all the devices you are using. The only way to stay clear of tracking is to keep yourself from using any kind of technology at all. Until now, there hasn’t really been anything you could do to prevent yourself from being tracked, but now that the Off Pocket is being developed, there is some faint hope of true privacy again.
The Off Pocket is a neat little creation which we can all use. Did you know that even though you turn off your smartphone, there could still be components in it that are running? It’s actually true, and a few years ago, it was said that even though you shut off your smartphone, carriers and manufacturers could turn it on at will, activate the microphone, and listen in on your offline conversations. As if that is not scary enough, there have been plenty more discoveries since then. The Off Pocket could prevent all of them from ever happening again.
The innovators behind the Off Pocket wanted to stop anyone from tracking their path, as said both offline and online, so they got together and created the off pocket. It’s a smartphone accessory that will make your phone untrackable, unhackable and of course undistractable. If we should get technical for a second, the Off Pocket delivers high performance shielding from cellular signals, WiFi, and GPS. It shields over 100dB, blocks frequencies between 800MHz – 2.4 GHz, blocks CDMA/GSM/DCS/PHS/3G/4G, blocks WiFi (2.4GHz), Bluetooth (2.4Ghz), and GPS (1-2GHz) and also blocks carrier, hardware, and OS agnostic.
By using and layering different materials, the Off Pocket becomes the best smartphone signal shield ever created for a consumer. I think everyone was hoping it wouldn’t have to come to this, but when people start creating shielding-wear and accessories so they can stay clear of the government’s and hackers’ ongoing sneaky tracking and monitoring, there is definitely something wrong.
The Off Pocket founders are looking for funding. They are looking to raise $35,000 in order to finance the last steps of the realization process. It so happens their crowdfunding Kickstarter campaign is already successful. It has already raised north of $40,000 with 16 days still to go. That says a lot about how many ordinary people want to be able to go incognito for a while whenever they want. Do people in the world really need to create accessories so they can be left alone from big brother and hackers who want to take control over their existence? It seems by the success of this project that the answer to that question is a clear yes.
