This Happens When Richard Branson Catches You Sleeping On The Job

If you are a fan of Sir Richard Branson, you know that he has a well-rounded view of how to treat his employees. Fortunately, for an unsuspecting Virgin Australia employee, Sir Branson has a good sense of humor. Why? Well, during a trip to Australia, Sir Branson decided to “pop” into the office of Virgin Australia and the airport to say hello. Since then the whole thing has become a viral success and it’s yet another thing Sir Branson is doing right.

So, what happened? When Sir Branson popped into the office he found one of his employees sleeping on the couch. Or as he said it himself, -“I popped into the office [at Virgin Australia] and the airport to say hello and check in to see what the team are up to. This guy wasn’t up to much at all – I caught him sleeping on the job!”

Even though most media outlets are reporting that the guy woke up went back to sleep and then woke up again only to go and clear out his desk, that is not exactly the truth. Sir Branson continued, -“Wow, did he get a shock when I woke him up. He must have thought he was dreaming because he went straight back to sleep. To be fair, he was on standby, getting some much-needed rest.”

The real story is that the guy actually went back to work after his “break” and there were no long-term repercussions. The guy didn’t clear out his desk and he was not fired. Sir Branson knows how to treat his employees and to understand that the fella was overworked is one of the reasons why Virgin is one of the best companies to work for.

Whether the guy took another nap on the job ever again is unclear, however, I think it’s safe to assume that he will not be sleeping as sound as he was considering Sir Branson snapped a selfie with the guy sleeping and posted it online which made it go viral. Sir Branson, the good guy!
