Everyone loves Star Trek and Star Wars, right? Well, apparently it’s not that easy. As some of you know, there are two camps where Star Trek fans go out of their way to tell the Star Wars fans that they have a better community and better… well, everything really. The same goes for the Star Wars community. It’s sometimes hard to keep up with everything that goes on between those two, but it’s safe to say that these guys don’t really play well together. I, on the other hand, get excited about both of them since I am a huge science fiction fan. However, I think there is a royalty in the world that beats pretty much anyone when it comes to loving your preferred sci-fi series and movies.
Who am I talking about? Well, the king of Jordan, King Abdullah II, is probably the biggest Star Trek royalty we can think of. As a matter of fact, he’s such a big fan that he has approved a $1.5 billion Star Trek theme park in Jordan. It will be a 183-acre theme park with everything you can think of, and Rubicon is actually involved in developing the entertainment aspects of the park. I am sure most of us have no doubt that it will anything less than awesomeness! I totally wish to go one day because this thing will be spectacular.
King Abdullah II is more connected to Star Trek than you can imagine. The royal highness actually did a cameo in Star Trek: Voyager, but because of the fact that he wasn’t a member of the Screen Actors Guild, he wasn’t allowed to speak any lines However, he is in there, and you can check it out yourself in the clip below. It’s too hard to say at this point what exactly this awesome theme park might hold, but the park itself is said to be scheduled to open sometime during 2014. Oh how many Star Trek fans are jumping up and down right now? It’s going to be a blast I am sure. So what camp are you a part of, Star Trek or Star Wars? Why is it the best?
